What to Expect
Your first visit is just the beginning. As your confidence grows, you’ll find plenty of opportunities to continue learning, improving, and connecting with other players on and off the court.
1. Check in at the front desk
When you arrive, our friendly staff will welcome you and help you get started. If you’re registered for a class, clinic, or lesson, we’ll direct you to your instructor and make sure you know where to go. If you’re visiting for open play, we’ll explain the process, answer any questions, and help you feel comfortable before stepping onto the court.
Need equipment? We offer paddle rentals and can help you find the right gear. You’ll also have the opportunity to browse our pro shop for paddles, apparel, accessories, and other pickleball essentials.
2. Pick up the basics
Located near the front desk, our Pickleball Basics display provides a helpful introduction to the game. It offers a quick introduction to the rules, scoring, and fundamentals of the game and can help you feel more comfortable before your first lesson, clinic, or open play session.
3. Meet other players
One of the things that makes pickleball unique is its welcoming community. Whether you’re participating in a beginner program, joining open play, or attending a clinic, you’ll have opportunities to meet players who share your interest in learning and having fun. Don’t be afraid to introduce yourself. Pickleball players are known for being friendly and supportive.
4. Have fun on the court
One of the best things about pickleball is that it’s easy to jump in and start having fun, even if you’ve never picked up a paddle before. Don’t worry about knowing every rule or making the perfect shot. Miss a shot? Hit a ball onto another court? It happens. Palace of Pickleball’s welcoming community is known for helping new players learn, improve, and enjoy the game.
You’ll also play on seven indoor courts featuring premium CushionX flooring, designed to provide a comfortable playing experience that’s easier on knees and joints.
